This is a post made to track my channel's timeline on YouTube because I think it would be interesting looking back and seeing the gradual growth. Enjoy!

July 29th, 2023 - Haven't updated this page in a hot minute, at 717 right now though. I think for this year I've only uploaded 3 videos, one being today which is this Oppenheimer inspired mini documentary that is very different from what I usually do. I honestly forgot how fun it was to make a video, I really enjoyed making this one.

May 12, 2022 - 300! Slow but steady progress 🤓...also decided to go back on my word about not doing watch videos again. I like doing them and they're the most popular, it may not be the best in terms of time sink during production BUT who said this YouTube thing was supposed to be easy anyways. March 7, 2022 - Made it to 200!! 🥳 Considering the temporary hiatus during these first med school weeks this is pretty wholesome.
January 20, 2022 - Made it to 150 subscribers!
January 16, 2022 - First video to hit 2k views was the Blancpain one above. I'm super happy because wow I can't believe 2k people have watched something I've made, but bit bummed out because I was thinking of not doing watch videos anymore and they are the ones that are doing well.
December 20, 2021 - First video with 1k views! This was the second in a series of watch videos I was going to do, and even though I don't plan on doing more of these it's crazy that it's had 1,000 people watch it. 🤯

December 12, 2021 - First time I've gotten more than 1k views within a month! Kind of crazy that 1000 people have seen me on camera. I think if I was placed in front of 1000 people in real life I would have a stroke just from the nerves lol. Want to mention that I've also had a few wholesome interactions offline with certain people because of YouTube. It's a very unexpected but cool side-effect of this whole process in my opinion.
Dec 9, 2021 - First video using Final Cut Pro 🙌 no more iMovie for me, I've ascended slightly.

November 16, 2021 - 100 subscribers! No more double-digit subscriber numbers 😭 super happy. Also shifted channel away from watches, though it was interesting, it took a stupid amount of time to research. I know that I can be successful in the niche, but it's just not sustainable for medical school which starts in 2 months. I'm officially switching to med school content, books, and productivity which is A LOT easier to do (barely any research since it's what I'm already doing).
October 6, 2021 - Shifted my niche to talk about watches since it's just easy to make a lot of videos by covering different watch brands. I genuinely find this interesting as well which is a plus.
May 2021 - Decided that instead of learning from pure experience, I would join Ali Abdaal's part-time YouTuber academy to learn directly from someone who knows what they're doing. Looking back, best decision I have ever made. The amount of value in the course is ridiculous for anyone serious about YouTube and building something online. Ended up buying my first real camera, mic, and lighting setup shortly after joining. To this day I re-watch the video recordings and multiple workshops that are available. This class made me realize the value of online courses that I was always hesitant about paying for.
April 7, 2021 - 50 subscribers finally! Mostly friends/family but still nice. Having a very hard time coming up with ideas though, feeling a bit trapped in the finance niche and want to slowly shift away, though not too sure where I want to take the channel.
March 2, 2021 - Made it to 10 subscribers! Woooo. Channel at this point is strictly finance-related.
February 27, 2021 - First video published! Took me hours to film this (on an iPhone 12), hours to figure out how to edit (on iMovie), and it was the most nerve-wracking thing to click that "set public" button BUT once published...nothing? It was like realizing for the first time that the world just goes on and nobody cares, very cathartic experience, would recommend. My expectations of getting "at least 100 views" were completely shattered though, more like 2...both being me. It's truly an upward battle.
